Swedish Flatbread
This soft and mildly sweet thin-bread is amazing with soups or just by itself.
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups of flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup cultured buttermilk
Directions
- Blend flower, sugar, baking soda and salt.
- Cut in butter until fine crumbs.
- Stir in buttermilk until it holds together.
- Shape into small balls 1" in diameter.
- Roll out on flour.
- Place on greased baking sheet (or use parchment paper).
- Bake at 400° for 5-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack.
